Am I in?... 223973 magic code...

As a contrarian and non partisan:

If we have to have tariffs as policy to derive revenue, why can't we use a forcing mechanism to immediately pass all costs directly to the end consumer and just have the impact happen in real time. Hint. It's not politically correct. Not enough cruelty to make the poorest amongst us suffer enough.... Trumpism.

That old idea of the Fair Tax, much akin to VAT Value Added Taxation that would synchronize near seamlessly each step in every supply chain would most likely stop the shock loading seen in the chaos of the Trump plan now playing out with the really stupid lawsuit culture that only credits the first stage importers with viable claims for the deemed 'illegal tariff' cost relief. This whole mess is beyond idiotic. Everyone below the first tier has to beg for relief with no real expectation of ever seeing their loses made even partially whole.

Revisit the Fair Tax ideas. Clean up the numerous rough edges in that idea and let's get it on.

All costs are ALWAYS passed on to the end consumer, anyway. Certainly, the end costs are to be much less without the stupid fits and starts in the unnecessary chaos being seen today.

Lawyer upping !! Making the lawyer class more wealthy as this current Trump mess works its way through the courts

These costs today will take years to resolve. It did Not have to be this way, remember? Adding to the national debt unnecessarily is reprehensible.

We can do better. We should try.
