Ask Me Anything!
Plus: Going live soon...
Hi everyone! Hope your Thursday is off to a great start.
Tomorrow’s newsletter will be a mailbag edition. Send me your questions on redistricting, Trump’s declining poll numbers, the trip to China, the midterms, “The Apprentice” 2028 edition, or anything else that’s on your mind in the world of politics and government, whether attached to a recent headline or something bigger-picture.
As always, you can leave a comment below, click “reply” on this email, or click here to submit a question anonymously.
In the meantime, if you want to hear from me today: I’ll be going live with Chris Cillizza at 11 a.m. ET to talk about my piece yesterday about Trump’s approval rating dive. You should get an email when it starts, but you can also click here to watch it at the appointed time.
And then, right after that… Some of the best reporters in the congressional press corps have started a new live show called 535, which aims to cover not the politics of Congress — but the policies, sitting down with lawmakers to talk about serious legislative proposals, not just the “he said, she said.”
I think it’s a severely under-covered space, and I’m excited to be joining them at 12 p.m. ET to talk about one of my favorite things: what Congress got done this week. As always, there might be some surprises! You can watch that here.
So: Poll numbers at 11 a.m. ET. Congress at 12 p.m. ET. And don’t forget to send in questions all day, so I can answer them in tomorrow’s mailbag issue.
Talk to you tomorrow,
Gabe

I’m wondering if Trump handed the Democrats a good line to use in attack ads for the midterms when he replied “Not even a little bit.” when asked about the economic difficulties facing many Americans now. It seemed very tone deaf and arrogant to me.
Thanks, as always, to you and Chris. My two favorite people in one place. Awsome
