Absolutely fascinating! Thanks!

It’s nice to see that there is a way to perhaps get more things done.

Let the elected representatives vote!!

Excellent reporting. It's time well overdue for true balanced reporting that helps the "Independent Party" of voters.

Why do the Speaker and Majority Leader have to so much power? Why do they get to decide what gets voted on and what doesn't?

I have wondered about this and asked that question for years now, in many places, but can't get an answer.

Thanks, very informative, only had a vague idea of how this works before.

Thanks for this clear and thoughtful lesson in how our government works!

I recognize the need to concentrate power to enable fast actions, but I love that our system is ultimately robust to usurpation by a powerful few.

Was wondering what the record for discharge petitions were, when you quoted Rep. Raskin. Thank you for filling in the very large blank.

Gabe - I thank you, as always, for providing a pathway of better understanding the workings of our government - aka - our elected representatives. I was heartened to hear Rep. Thomas Massie’s thoughtful reasoning for the release of the Epstein files. I phoned his office the other day to thank him.

This is starting to look like the Nixon tapes. Next will we have "investigations" which allow the Justice Department to not release materials which are "related" to the investigation?
