Can you provide some history on presidents profiting from obvious conflicts of interests? Is it up to Congress to enforce or what are the other options?
Are there actually more unsigned opinions coming from the Supreme Court? And if so is it a sign of unity in the court after the accusations and leaks? Or is it to avoid upsetting politicians?
Gabe, what is your take on “Abundance”, the new book by Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson that provides a critique of what liberals have gotten wrong over the last several decades?
There is a world of difference between deporting immigrants with, or even without final orders for deportation, and sending people who have not been convicted of any crime, nor even charged with any in many cases, to prison for a undetermined timeline without access to legal processes. Why is the media having such a hard time hammering this difference in news coverage?
you've noted that 2024 was the third election where pollsters struggled to accurately capture trump's voter base... how can we still trust polls and continue to rely on poll-based analyses like your "myth of the regretful trump voter" and tuesday's piece on possible senate outcomes? i'm not entirely a poll skeptic, but if the error rate of tea leaves is so high...
Are there actually more unsigned opinions coming from the Supreme Court than previously, or are we just noticing them more? And if so, is it a reflection of the political turmoil and leaks? Do unsigned opinions favor one party or narrative over the other?
How long is a deported immigrant expected to stay in prison in El Salvador, Libya, or elsewhere? Once they are shipped out of the country, what happens next for them? How long is their prison term?
CECOT's motto is "you only leave in a coffin" so I think that's your answer for El Salvador anyway. Sounds like those ~300 guys are likely sentenced to death unfortunately...but hey, they're owning the libz so...
A major item in today's CNN espanol was Trump's urging Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum to allow US troops into the country to fight the drug war. He was prompted to do so because (Trump posits) the Mexican political system is rife with corruption, and she was afraid of the cartels; therefore not able to effectively fight the drug war in her country. Her rebuff was also published. (Incredible, right? You might check my translation; I don't claim perfection.) // This was barely a ripple in US mainstream media. Why? Are the media being cajoled/coerced into ostrich-sand reporting?// This is beyond Trump's lack of a sense of the ironic; it points toward reality disconnect, diminished social awareness. In his position, this is dangerous and destabilizing for the world. // Another question -- When Trump is finally rid of everyone he doesn't like, who will take care of all the rich people?
I am having trouble framing this question....Any realistic discussion of tarriffs so far focus on the generic impact of adding cost to the consumer, meaning that if a product continues to be imported from some foreign country, then the cost will be the former cost plus the cost of the tariff--the goal being to bring manufacturing back to the US where it would be manufactured and sold to consumers with no tariff. I have not seen any specific examples of how this would work. Are there any actual products that could be manufactured in the US rather than in other countries and then sold at a competitive price? Are basically just talking about automobiles being made in the US rather than Germany or Japan? Do the numbers actually work? If a German car manufacturer does the manufacturing in the US, won't the US manufacturing location have to pay royalties back to the German parent company for use of patents? Not to mention management fees? Maybe it works. It is just that it used to be that US companies had their local affiliaties in say Brazil do the manufacturing for the Brazil market but the Brazil sub had to send lots of money back to the US parent. I just am having trouble wrappling my arms around what a transaction would really look like.
I think the big next break in the administration control is direct personal consequences with the MAGA constituents. Loss of Medicaid and other critical government services. These losses will come back to haunt the administration. What are your thoughts on this?
How was DOGE created, and how are the (at least 100) DOGE employees being paid? Could a Democratic President come into office and just create and fund a Department of Climate Change Fighters or a Department of Crypto Crime Investigators for example? The whole creation, funding and empowerment of DOGE seems illegal to me
Do you think other countries' MAGA-movement equivalents will continue to suffer losses as they have in Canada & Australia as a result of Trump? (E.G, is Reform UK next on the list to suffer a massive setback? What about AfG?)
How long do you think it will take for the Maga crowd to understand how badly they have been ripped off by Trump? It has to occur to them sooner or later.

What emerging coalitions or voter blocs do you think are being underestimated heading into 2026 and 2028?

One of the justifications for the new tarrifs is that the US has been treated unfairly by other countries. Is this true? How do we know?

What is the mood/opinion of the Faroe leaders of the USA? Esp. Trump's idea about Greenland?
