This email is coming a bit later than usual because I just came out of a fascinating meeting with members of the Løgting, the Parliament of the Faroe Islands.
The Danish territory’s parliament is one of the oldest in the world (thought to be founded as early as the year 800!) It was great to chat about American politics and answer some of their questions about Trump, Congress, and the future of both political parties.
Truly, no two days are the same around here!
But now it’s time to answer your questions! What are you wondering about, in the world of politics, history, media, and more? Drop a comment and let me know what’s on your mind — I’ll pick some of the questions and answer them in my Sunday mailbag column!
Also, please know: even if I don’t get to your question on Sunday, it’s always helpful to hear what readers are thinking about — so if your question isn’t answered there, it might end up becoming the topic of a newsletter of its own. I also try to go back each week and look at questions I missed from the previous week, so I still might answer even if I don’t immediately!
Thanks — or takk, as they say in Faroese — for your questions and your readership, as always! I’m proud to have the best, most inquisitive subscribers around.
Have a great rest of your day!
Gabe
Can you provide some history on presidents profiting from obvious conflicts of interests? Is it up to Congress to enforce or what are the other options?
What emerging coalitions or voter blocs do you think are being underestimated heading into 2026 and 2028?
