There is no shortage of things to talk about: the war in Iran, the ongoing DHS shutdown, the 2026 midterms shaping up. I want to know what’s on your mind, and what you’re wondering about, on these topics and anything else in politics and media.
I’m also happy to take any questions you might have from this week’s newsletters, which touched on the SAVE Act and the bipartisan housing package (which just passed the Senate, 89-10, earlier today) and the lack of a MAGA split on the war in Iran.

How does Iran’s control over the Straits of Hormuz change the nature of Trump’s war? Is there a shipping route alternative? Or does Iran hold a trump card (ha!) in this affair?
