“Only five reporters braved the frigid cold to cover the (outdoor!) Magaziner-Roy press conference. But covering bipartisan legislation like theirs is exactly what I promised you I’d do when I received credentialed to cover Congress” Congrats on keeping your promise and reporting on this bipartisan effort with your trademark detail and context, Gabe. So glad you’re in a place in your self-made career to ask pointed questions of our lawmakers!!

Here is my contribution to protest. Today I’m canceling Facebook. If I had X I would do that

Do we really need them anyway. I lived 40 years without them

Finally if I got more than one package a month I would order less from Amazon

Just putting my money where my mouth is

No idea how you manage to write something so interesting and insightful each and every day. Very impressive and especially "in the lull before the storm." Should get easier for you next week with the expected shock and awe.

How would the trading ban work for members of congress who have 401K plans that are often invested in stocks? Would they be banned from assigning a financial manager to manage their retirement account?

I was shocked to read Nancy Pelosi and my congressman Ron Wyden were among those who are doing inside trading. What's the saying? When in Rome, do as the Romans do!! Absolutely, there should be Enforceable Law's to prevent this practice. Also, maybe they're do for an Over Due Pay raise? Along with the American workers minimum wage?!! Great piece this morning ☕ and will reStack ASAP 💯👍

Sometimes I really wish you would provide sources for at least some of what you report. It would be helpful to understand how you know that specific folks in congress are implicated in insider trading. Since you seem, at least to me, to be more focused on democratic than republican wrong doing I would sure like a better understanding of where you get your info or how long you’ve researched your claims.

Hi Bev, the blue text in the newsletters are links — every claim made is meticulously linked back to its source, so you can see exactly where I’m getting my information if you click on them. That is true in Friday’s newsletter and every newsletter. I report on wrongdoing by politicians without any consideration of which party they hail from.

Hmm the most damning item on Pelosi is from Fox. Sounds suspect to me. But thanks for the blue underlining. I don’t always see it. Sorry about that but I don’t think you could convince me that anything out of Fox isn’t suspect. bTW Pelosi is well known for

Not Bringing bills to the floor if she didn’t have the votes. Pretty typical of a strong leader. So maybe a touch of perspective about that.

A blind trust is a blind trust, Unless your name is Trump

A 401K most likely wouldn't be included since it is not controlled by the individual It is controlled by the institution They are the ones deciding where the investments go

Most of the time you have at least 4 or 5 general options

It's too bad they can't put the Supreme Court under this, including their bribes
