Earlier today, read a long article by David Samuels, who has a particular view of Obama and Washington politics, post-presidency. It was originally in Tablet, their Arts and Letters section.

Have never been sure if he was for real or a Manchurian Candidate, still not certain, but the article shows Obama having far more resonance, than one might expect. Found it interesting, still not certain as to its accuracy, but definitely could be.

The questions were great and your answers were wonderful, thank you.

Have seen the most recent Quinnipiac and Harris polls, Harris needs to get to work, quick.

Idk, I feel like Mark Kelly probably has the best argument for foreign policy experience based on his presence on the Senate Armed Services Committee. But I could easily see any of the 4 mentioned as VP pick

Anticipatory rather than reactionary, I would like to know how a VP can count the electoral votes if they are the one running for President. I can see the Republicans fighting that.

George H.W. Bush did it in 1988.

Likewise Al Gore following the tumultuous count of the 2000 election's votes.

Chalk this up to things I never knew. Thank you for this, Richard. I’m reading about it now.

It’s just another procedure that had never produced any conflict until Trump interfered with it. And his allies are increasingly committing themselves to interfere on their own behalf whenever they get the opportunity.

Yes, I see that. 45 has shown us so many more laws that need to be written to close loopholes. Since the Supreme Court is weighted toward Rs, those laws don’t stand a chance of being passed.

They might well be passed, depending on the issue, the question is would they pass the Supreme Court standards, if the law gets there on appeal?

Yes, my point exactly.
