Right? Stimulus checks when the National debt exceeds GDP and inflation is high?

“The stimulus will continue until inflation improves”

The squabbles make for fun reading but I wish they would all put more energy into immigration reform, reducing the national debt and health care reform. I hope Epstein’s clients will be exposed. The tawdry mess fills me with despair.

How do we get our legislators to stop stunting for the cameras, clicks, and ratings and get them to focus on legislating?

I think the media plays a negative role by highlighting the stunts and reducing everything to black/white sound bites. I like Gabe’s columns which address what is getting done and the common ground segments on some shows. Bret Baier does this but not nearly often or deep enough. Maybe at the end of a grand stand interview, a newsperson could say, in our final few minutes, could you tell us about some issue you are working on in tandem with the other party, some progress on one of the important big issues to which you have made a personal contribution ...

Thanks, Gabe. I love it when Trump bumps up against gravity and realizes that it applies to him too. He won’t always get what he wants.

Inflation is still in Act 1. As prices rise and households are squeezed, the impatience to know the contents of the Epstein file will grow despite the array of distractions Trump throws out. Macbeth had a haunting ghost too.

Very objective. The real question is how much impact will the social media wars have on all of this. The children are getting restless

The tariff decision has been potentially put off until at least next spring. No one is talking about that

I agree with your assessment that it is harder to stay united when you have to say" yes" to things. However, I think it might be good to add that the Democrats have done more than just say "no". What proposals have they been proposing in a pretty unified way?
