Even though I subscribe to and read several other newsletters and newspapers, I didn’t know that Trump rescinded LBJ’s 1965 order until I read about it in WUTP. Shocking that it was rescinded and shocking that no one else has mentioned it. Thank you for your thorough reporting!

Trump, despite being visited upon by divine intervention, including his now current state of being “ all knowing, and “ all powerful “ is STILL nothing but a sexual predator, a pathetic liar, an heir to a fortune , an intellectual lightweight, an unfaithful husband, a tax cheat, an unserious overweight joke, and that says a lot about the American public, and in particular his Slovenian ( also a pathetic liar) wife and former nude model. I am so happy my father who was a lieutenant flight instructor in the South Pacific and his brother who was awarded the distinguished service cross by PATTON himself for outstanding bravery in France during world war 2 are not alive

Where is the pushback from elected officials not in his pocket?

“I try as hard as I can not to prevent any errors from being printed at Wake Up To Politics”

A double negative doesn’t make it any more true.

Please try NOT to include errors.

I think double negatives have gone the way of flammable and inflammable. We read them now as extra sincere negatives.

“Not to prevent.” What does it mean? Do we just assume or guess? Or is it a simple typo?

I suggest all those picking apart Gabe’s work cut him some slack. It’s been an absolutely chaotic 48 hours for journalists who care about reporting the news as it happens.

If anyone is so unhappy with his work that you simply can’t resist picking at him, especially after the last two days, start your own Substack news site and we’ll all eagerly read your work to ensure zero mistakes are made. As one of my CO’s used to say “if all you’re gonna do is complain then put up or shut up”.

Any writer appreciates having places where they are unclear pointed out. It’s hardly “picking apart”.

Pardon me for noticing. I presumed that people would have trouble understanding what he was saying. I appreciate his work as much as anyone. Just wanted to make things clear. Now I am relieved that I am not on Social Media. Goodbye.

Thank you, Kasumii. Grace seems to be one thing lacking in our society now.

Accentuate the positive: We might pay attention to the pardon issue now. I have spent many useless hours trying to explain that there can be no such thing as “life without parole” so long as executive have unrestricted pardon power. We will be presented with scholarly analysis on the intended meaning of the drafters of the 14th amendment and maybe value our citizenship more. Maybe Congress will remember that it is the third branch again. We can only defeat the use of ad hominem attacks by not engaging in them ourselves.
