Send Your Questions!
Plus: A new video on missing lawmakers.
Hi all, happy Thursday!
Hopping into your inboxes to see if anyone has questions you want answered for a mailbag issue tomorrow. Feel free to send in questions about Iran, reconciliation, the midterms, or any other broader, burning questions about American politics you want my take on.
You know the drill: questions can be submitted in the comments below this post, by email (you can just click “reply”!), or by using this link to send in a question anonymously. I’m excited to see what’s on your mind.
While you’re here: I have a brand-new video essay up on my YouTube channel!
There’s been a lot of discussion lately about missing members of Congress. But is this a new phenomenon? In the video, I dig into the history of absentee lawmakers, including a bunch of interesting (and mostly forgotten) historical episodes. I also talk about some potential solutions: even if this isn’t a new problem, that doesn’t mean we can’t start thinking about how we might want to fix it.
Give it a watch and let me know what you think! I’m new to the video game, so any feedback is welcome (as is subscribing to the channel!)
Talk to you tomorrow,
Gabe
