There’s been a lot of discussion lately about missing members of Congress. But is this a new phenomenon? In the video, I dig into the history of absentee lawmakers, including a bunch of interesting (and mostly forgotten) historical episodes. I also talk about some potential solutions: even if this isn’t a new problem, that doesn’t mean we can’t start thinking about how we might want to fix it.

Gabe - I just listened to (watched) Rand Paul's opening statement in the Fauci Inquisition. Was Paul reading from a teleprompter?? He surely didn't have that whole thing memorized. Irrespective, I guess I have to say that he is a better public speaker than I thought he was...
