Hi, all! Happy Sunday. I want to start out by thanking you for the very positive reaction to my Friday piece, “Is this Biden’s LBJ moment?”

I feel very lucky to be able to write pieces like that — taking a bit of a different approach to the daily news cycle, by using the past to help decode the present — and appreciate the flexibility you all afford me to do so.

Those types of pieces wouldn’t be possible without the support of paid subscribers — which brings me to my next point.
