Would you agree that one of the fundamental problems in American politics over the past 10 to 15 years has been the weakness of the two major parties when it comes to nominating candidates?
The inability of either party to act as a gatekeeper has produced fringe candidates, many of whom have been able to win primary elections.
Do you think it would be possible to restructure the U.S. into +- 4 regions for purposes of enabling diverse policy direction and prioritization? There is the concept of bio-regions and watersheds giving more reason for people within such areas cause to work together. It may scale up to regions of our large country and I believe we need to start trying some different approaches.
