I think your idea of trying out a 3-day-a-week approach is a good one. Given the amount of info flooding all of us at this time, we may be more likely to read the entirety of your posts when they arrive less often. Any improved quality will be appreciated, even though the quality is already very high and well worth the reading. Thanks for all you do to keep us enlightened!

"... a constant blur of headlines. That may seem like it’s a call for “more” ..."

Nope, with the weekly almost daily firehose of news this past year, LESS is more, and I'd rather see a deeper analysis as you are proposing on selected news topics rather than being like many other aggregators who seem to "clickbait" every article they publish. It is overwhelming and unnecessary, so thank you for experimenting with fewer articles with more analysis.

Thank you.

Whatever keeps you writing, Gabe, that's what I want. I budget all year to subscribe to you and Paul Krugman. It is so worth it. Thanks!

What you've proposed for February is a worthy experiment, Gabe. Thanks for the thoughtful explanation.

I will always go with quality over quantity. Keep up the good work, Gabe!

I agree with the above sentiments. I enjoy the five day a week format but also your in-depth articles. I look forward to the change

Good idea to try a new approach! Other news aggregators are out there, but that's not true of the type of "deep dive" political/historical analysis you provide. Something to look forward to in February!

As @Margie Hagen called it --- Definitely a worthy experiment.

Plus here's a suggested tweak to it: At the end of the analytical/research piece.... how about just a simple Listing of any of the day's event that particularly catch your interest and maybe will warrant a closer and wider and deeper look from you.

And keep trusting your center.....................

Been following you for over a long time. Good work. Your news letters keep me from being swallowed up completely in the bubble im in.

I think your 3 newsletters per week trial is an excellent idea. I find your analysis and explainer columns give me much cause for further thought. For instance, your 2/29 discussion of the hypocrisy of politicial core beliefs boldly highlighted the fickleness of dogmatic principles not only in politics but in life.

Thank you, that means so much to hear!

I agree with Margie! I also had revisit that Full Frontal interview, although I don't believe I saw it when it was first put out there. That gave me many good chuckles--thank you for sharing the link.

Less with depth and experience, which you have, will always out class more that is not much but news headlines, and no discussion in depth. Go for it. I will always be one of your subscribers no matter how it fairs.

I like your new idea, especially the historical background part. Go for it, regardless you will have me as a paying subscriber.

When you cover the rules I am amazed that anything gets done by Congress.

Love the deep dives. But then again I also loved the daily summaries. Too bad you can’t be cloned, Gabe, so one of you could continue on your previous track and the other providing less frequent, deeper analysis. But one thing’s for sure. It would take much more than your proposed change in format for me to ever unsubscribe. I have learned so much over the years from your newsletter. It’s been a must read for me every day. And now it will be a must read three times a week. A big thank you from a big fan.

Very kind -- thank you!

I, for one, are happy to go along with the experiment. Your research and common-sense perspective (i.e., reality usually isn't the same as the hype) are so needed. Looking forward to the deep dives.
