There have been numerous speeches predicting that this is the beginning of a lasting peace in the Middle East. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Whilst you reporting serves to raise awareness of events primarily to your national readers,

it is a far cry from really presenting the real impacts to the global community.

I encourage you to read this briefing,

https://progressive.international/wire/2025-10-07-pi-briefing-no-37-the-plan-to-colonize-palestine/en

"On 29 September 2025, Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu presented their so‑called “peace plan” for Gaza — a blueprint for the further colonization of Palestine and the co-optation of those who stand in solidarity with its people.

Announced from the heart of empire and immediately endorsed by those most invested in preserving the settler colony, the plan aims to turn a shattered Gaza into a laboratory for trusteeship, securitization, and profit — with Palestinians reduced to objects of management rather than subjects of history ..."

For our common humanity,

Hi Gabe ... I still don't understand why you refer to the Israel/US massacre/genocide in Gaza as a war. Would you refer to the US military actions against Native Americans during the Indian Clearance Campaigns as part of a "war"?

Netanyahu started this with his support of Hamas with billions of dollars to avoid a two state solution because he despises Palestinians. He thought he was invincible, took his eye off the ball, worried about being prosecuted, and alas the blood bath .

I don’t trust ether BiBi or Hamas at all ..both exceedingly bad players in a hostile area of the world.

In addition, Netanyahu did not get… in any way shape or form what he wanted and had promised to zionists, including, the total destruction of Hanas and continued settling in Gaza. It ain’t over till it’s over.

I disagree: Hamas started this war. It is not the first time Israel has been attacked in this horrific way. You are right, it is not over, but a major step in everlasting peace

Let us hope, that this is not the beginning of the end, but the end of the beginning.

A modified version of Churchill's phrase.

Where is on-in-law Jared Kushner in the photo? And why would he even e involved unless he was there to do some "deal?"

What is the state of Trump's health that requires him to be seated in all photos?

And, how do we know that this ceasefire will hold?

Looking forward to visiting Trump tower at its new Mediterranean location in 2029 where our fearless leader will retire surrounded by American boots on the ground in Gaza to support and secure the rebuild. Of course the Gaza airport will have a runway long enough to land the Qatari presidential library jet with an enough hangars for all of his oligarchy tech bros to park their jets before being whisked to their seaside mansions and yachts at port. And of course all this will be made possible by the indigenous labor that is grateful to have jobs again and it’s tax haven secured status. It’s such a win/win. Trump definitely must get a Noble Prize for his work making this all possible or life is just not fair.

I wish the Palestinians all the hope in the world, they certainly need it after what they have been through.

the Entire MIddle East came together to end this horrific war, thank you to the TRUMP Administration and the Abraham Accords. These Accords were initiated in the 1st Trump Administration, then eliminated under the Biden administration. This was Bidens War.

I wouldnt trust the NY TImes information/data. They have been inaccurate many times recently and historically. (too bad, I like some of their articles....)

I'm som sorry to see that you "like" some of their articles. You should really stop reading the entire paper if you truly believe that the Times has been inaccurate!
