Good analysis as always and I don't want you to lose your press credentials, but is there no moral authority in this country any more and where is the public outrage for an action that could apparently happen to any one of us by "administrative error"

Gabe, this is a 5 alarm fire.  it is VERY SERIOUS.  I sense you want to be neutral, but this is a moment in time to be on the right side of justice and freedom and democracy

Disagree. There are plenty of places to find biased opinion "news" sources like MSNBC and Fox News

It is critical that credible journalism sources like Gabe remain as neutral as possible, especially during these times

There is no "neutral" in Magaville...you are either a ring kisser or on a hit list. And credible journalism is only credible when it tells the truth....and we can all see it with our own eyes due to the staged reality tv performances presented... the latest show..."who's your favorite smirking dictator."

Lincoln said "At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide."

Better to fight than "die by suicide.

Replace your comment using magaville and replace it with "jew lovers". Sounds a lot like something that Hitler would say

Gabe does a good job of reporting the truth. It's to you to determined if it's "a staged reality show"

Someone advocates AGAINST sending people to die in a foreign concentration camp, and you call THEM Hitler? What is the matter with you? Turn your brain on.

You need to read better. My comment was critical of his desire to have journalists focus less on the news and more on their opinions. Which ironically is what journalists are not supposed to do

No one was calling anyone hitler. Just that his demigogues use the same exact language even word for word (replacing magaville with jew lovers in his comment, for instance). Which is why neutral, fact-based journalism is critical. Go elsewhere if you want opinion aligned to your information bubble

I can read just fine. You said he was saying "something that Hitler would say." That's an awful and idiotic thing to say -- especially when you're directing it toward someone arguing against extrajudicial concentration camps. Do better.

It's Auschwitz and sig heil for America, and it only took 85 days. 49.5% of voters completely destroyed our country. I am so angry and heartbroken and bewildered and afraid.

The administration just brought a woman back from Russia held for donating to a Ukrainian aid organization. It's preposterous for them to claim they have no power to bring back Garcia from a supposed ally.

Hi Gabe. The Constitution gives eligibilty requirements for being elected to the House. Senate and presidency. Nowhere do I find eligibility requirements for being elected to the vice presidency. I always thought the requirements were the same as those for becoming president. Is it in the Constitution and I just didn't find it, or is it a law or is it just a custom that to be vice president you must have the same qualifications as needed to be president?

Thanks.

It's in the 12th Amendment: "[No] person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States."

It appears that “withholding from deportation” allows someone who enters illegally and has no right under law to remain can live and work and enjoy all the benefits of the U.S. indefinitely. That is the definition of an open border. The issue of whether there must be proof of gang connection is a red herring. The U.S. will never have the legal band width to prove these people are gang members and due process does not require that. The conditions of the El Salvador prison would not be acceptable under U.S. law. Do we accept the cost to imprison people like Garcia indefinitely? Should we ship them off to some other country who might take them for a relocation fee? How “moral” are these options? Everything is not about Trump. Many, and perhaps the majority of, Americans do not want to become the repository of the huddled masses now that the numbers are of epic proportions.

Abrego Garcia, along with many others, should not have been allowed into the country in the first place. Adios!
