Love the snuff box intro Gabe; Franklin and Adams did enjoy the French. The “ palace in the sky” gift from Qatar is laughable. We truly have a mafia family in the White House or maybe you prefer grifters, or maybe just immoral slags. Of course it’s a bribe. Even Loomer thinks it’s unconscionable. I am basically depressed every day reading or hearing news. We are losing moral ground on every front. Melania is known for her “outfits” and her bitcoin crap, rather than decency or any worthwhile cause. As one journalist said….Michael Corleone is gathering the gold and Fredo is running the government.

Wow. I really hope the deal falls through. So, the grubby little plane paid for and outfitted by the American taxpayer isn’t good enough for Trump. Does he work for us or not?

It makes the U.S. look like a beggar nation with a President who never heard about the Trojan horse.

Would this be the sort of thing the Supreme Court would get involved in?

Trump's belief in doing all he can for the American people, seems to start with him, being a suitable stand in for them. Of course, over time, the benefits will trickle down, the question that remains is, how far down?

So the USA taxpayers can use their tax dollars to buy a $400M plane (that is needed to replace a 40 year old Air Force One) or we can get one for free. Duh? Who wouldn’t take that deal? They owe us more than that for the USA military base we pay for that is in Qatar that protects them for free.

And I forgot….it’s unconstitutional….but Pam playing attorney general will try her best to get him what he wants. Now I understand why Trump is cooling toward Netanyahu…..he knows where the riches are.

Ha. Netanyahu is partly to blame for Hamas attacking, naively giving Hamas money through Egypt as he is so radically opposed to a two state solution. He was so arrogant he let his foot off the gas, and didn’t pay attention to what was going on. He is just like Trump, thinking only of himself and a friggen right wing authoritarian who should be in jail. We are losing our way.

He doesn’t need any more money. In fact he lost money in his first 4 years in office. Ridiculous TDS

Well, security demands they take the plane apart for obvious reasons and then it is gifted to his library. So, the taxpayers get off for 4 years, then this plane goes to his library, just so the grifter can luxuriate in all the gold imaginable.

OK so we get the plane but pay Qatar $400M for it. Does that make you happy?

Uncle Jo jo. Read the constitution. That would be a good start.

What would make us happy is a) determining if a new plane is actually needed and b) if it is needed then sourcing it through the usual procurement channels. As Donald J Trump knows perfectly well, there is no such thing as a free lunch.

The new Air Force One, designated as the VC-25B and based on the Boeing 747-8, was approved on January 28, 2015, when the U.S. Air Force announced that the Boeing 747-8 would be the next presidential aircraft. This decision followed a Request for Proposal issued in 2009 to replace the aging VC-25A aircraft. On February 27, 2018, the White House finalized a $3.9 billion agreement with Boeing to modify two 747-8 airframes for presidential use.
