  • Quite a debate last night! If you weren't watching, rest assured: Donald Trump's hands (and "something else") are not small. For much of the debate, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz - or as Trump called them, "Little Marco" and "Lyin' Ted" - went after Trump again and again, trying to hit his past positions, business record, temperament, and conservative credentials in hopes of finding attacks that will stick. This came just hours after 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney called Trump "a phony" and "a fraud," sending a clear message: the GOP is scared, and even if it looks like Donald Trump has wrapped up the nomination, anything could still happen.
  • On Sunday, Democrats will hold a debate of their own in Flint, Michigan, the city wrestling with a clean water crisis. That debate is just one of many political events this weekend, from Saturday night's Gridiron Club dinner (including "roasts" from Julian Castro, Nikki Haley, and Joe Biden) to the last night of CPAC (with addresses from all four GOP candidates, and many other conservative leaders - and the final farewell of Ben Carson). And: a number of primaries will be held over the weekend, with the Kansas caucuses, Louisiana primary, Kentucky Republican caucuses, Maine Republican caucuses, and Nebraska Democratic caucuses taking place on Saturday and the Maine Democratic caucuses and Puerto Rico Republican primary on Sunday.
  • In short: this election is not over. There may not be a full newsletter today, but as this crazy cycle keeps going, I will be here to cover it completely. Follow along on Twitter (@WakeUp2Politics) and Facebook (/WakeUpToPolitics), and tell your friends to sign up at wakeuptopolitics.com/subscribe. Have a good weekend, and I'll see you back here on Monday!
